Creative Beginnings...

My formal education did not include art, design, or any creative courses. Instead, I earned my BA in Russian language and literature. Only after extensive travel, living abroad, and establishing a more practical career in business did I plunge headfirst into the fashion world with a handful of designs I had created. I took the six sample garments, my complete line, to New York, and within a month or so, they were featured in Vogue. This was followed by Harper’s Bazaar, Sports Ilustrated, and most other fashion magazines and newspapers, which continued season after season. Retailers such as Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bloomingdales, along with many other major stores and boutiques across the country, carried my brand. I was asked to design a new collection for Givenchy, consulted for several notable brands, and taught design at Parsons.

Then...

Photography came next, offering a quieter way to see the world. Painting followed, opening greater expressive depth. These media merged into a single practice in which intuition, hand, and image converged. Eventually, I united my photography-based art with digital hand-painting, using a stylus to create multidimensional works of art.

And Now...

My art has been exhibited in galleries nationwide and acquired by private collectors, interior designers, and corporate collections, including notable commissions for Wynn Resort in Las Vegas, Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas, and Princess Cruises.

The visual sensitivity I expressed as a fashion designer continues to anchor my work today, now expressed through photography-based art rather than fabric and form. Over the years, I have appreciated that others have enjoyed my work across various artistic fields, as I have reflected an artistic vision that continues to evolve.
